Kind Request
[edit]Dear Jim,
I hope this message finds you well. I noticed that my Wikipedia page was recently deleted, and I would like to kindly request a reconsideration of its deletion.
I have carefully crafted the content based on my personal achievements, career, and philosophy, and I made sure to adhere to Wikipedia’s guidelines to the best of my understanding. I also included a declaration at the end of the article affirming that all information presented is accurate and written by me.
I understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of the platform, and I am more than willing to address any concerns or make any necessary revisions to ensure that my article meets the required standards. If you could kindly guide me on the areas that need improvement, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your guidance on how to proceed.
Best regards,
Praneeth Roy
Thanks in advance, and wish you a Happy and prosperous New Year! ~~~~ Praneeth Roy Ganeshpraneethroy (talk) 13:41, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Replied on user talk page, unreferenced self-promotion Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:06, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- hey Jim, I would like to know what were things you think were unreferenced areas, so that I would address them. And Jim, it may seem self promotion, but all of it is nothing but truth, and there's nothing wrong with displaying facts in Wiki, and even I have declared explicitly... so Jim please reconsider my request Ganeshpraneethroy (talk) 16:30, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- you said If you are writing about yourself, or someone you know as a friend, colleague, client, employer or relative, you have a conflict of interest, and you must disclose the nature of that COI, so that give me an opportunity to disclose my COI please. Ganeshpraneethroy (talk) 17:23, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Ganeshpraneethroy Please read what I've already posted on your talk page. None of your text had a reference to independently confirm what you claim. It is self-promotion, much of your text is your own glowing opinions of your talents, the definition of self-promotion. This isn't social media, nobody cares what you have to say about yourself here. If you really think you meet the notability criteria I linked, find reputable independent third-party sources as described in my reply so we can verify that. If you really only want to tell the world how gifted you are, do it on Facebook, this is an encyclopaedia. We are not looking for your version of the truth, we are looking for what we can independently verify. Jimfbleak - talk to me?
- Ganeshpraneethroy the usual place to diclose a COI is your user page User:Ganeshpraneethroy Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:31, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
Nemanthus californicus
[edit]I think the article Nemanthus californicus is ready to be published now because it is:
- categorised
- it has more than one sources
- articles of equal importance are already published (Nemanthus annamensis and Nemanthus nitidus)

- TrueMoriarty I don't usually review articles myself. Add {{subst:submit}} as you see it here to the top of the page and save, that will create a yellow review waiting box. Given that the article is pretty straightforward, you shouldn't have to wait long, good luck Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:07, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

[edit]My page Mykola Denysenkov has been eliminated. Please make it available to the world's scientistsMykola Denysenkov (talk) 18:20, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- Mykola Denysenkov please read the messages on your talk page, especially the one headed January 2025. Your user page isn't for you to write about yourself, it's to tell us about your activities on Wikipedia Jimfbleak - talk to me? 20:29, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- You deleted my scientific research that I did for 30 years on the grounds that you can't verify them. Then give the opportunity to check them to the specialists. You have now stopped the development of psychology. GPT-4o praised my research and recommended it to be disseminated. Your incompetence is your big mistake that you can correct by publishing my scientific research. Mykola Denysenkov (talk) 04:32, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Deleted page - Frank Golding (author)
[edit]Hi there, You recently deleted a draft biography page I created for an author, Frank Golding, on the grounds that the sources were largely from the subject himself. I tried to include a substantial amount of source from reputable newspapers and archives, but I would be happy to return to the draft and add more if it could be restored. Finally, if there is any wikipedia guidance on striking a balance for sources for memoirists that would be helpful - the details of the subject's biography are of course sometimes unavoidably best drawn from his own published work because memoir is about the self. Many thanks for your consideration. DeEsCeHa (talk) 02:32, 8 January 2025 (UTC)DeEsCeHa

Burnt fynbos
[edit]Hi Jimfbleak. Hope 2025 has ricked off just right for you. I came across a reference to burnt in the Portuguese translation of the article, and I see that you introduced that element here. Could you please clarify, so I can adjust the Portuguese to read better? Thanks. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 13:13, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia, that's going back a bit! Bustards are birds of open country, and the bushy nature of fynbos would be unsuitable, but burning effectively creates open habitat, at least until the shrubs regrow. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:32, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks, that makes sense. As a child I used to see them running at dusk in the Iona National Park in Namibe Province in southern Angola, which – like you said – is open country. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 14:50, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
